Romney vs Giuliani

In my personal opinion Romney and Giuliani are the two major contendors for the GOP.  Fred Thompson -- when he runs -- may run, but he is not the best candidate for the GOP, he was not there when there were serious issues were here and so I do not think he would be the best person to govern our nation.  And some of the others are not full conservative on important issues -- and some are liberals in conservative clothing. In my opinion Romney and Giuliani are the best possible candidates for the GOP.  But it is true that no candidate is perfect, so if you guys are looking for the perfect candidate then stop looking -- you might be looking for a while. No candidate is perfect -- even Reagan wasn't perfect.

The reason I like Giuliani is because he was mayor of New York -- at the time he was first mayor  New York was an absolute mess, Giuliani really helped to clean up the place.  He reduced crime using EXISTING gun control laws -- so that does not mean he is FOR gun control, he just used them to his advantage -- and he turned a billion dollar debt (from a liberal mayor of course) and turned it into a multi-billion dollar surplus through cutting taxes.  When election times came again Giuliani ran and won the elections in a state where Democrats out-numbered Republicans 5 to 1.  I think all this says something about Giuliani.  Also he was mayor during the 9/11 incident, and he cleaned that up well, and acted like a leader to quell the fires.  My overall opinion of him is great -- He is just what this country needs, a good leader.  Now he may not be fully conservative on some of his ideas -- such as abortion.  But he has the conservative views on the things that matter.  Gay rights -- which I agree is morally wrong -- is not an issue that is going to bring down America right away, however it should be made illegal sometime soon -- but with a liberal Congress, I don't think that's going to happen even with a full conservative president.  And as for abortion -- again I don't think a liberal Congress will approve it, but even if they do, a law will not help.  Prostitution is morally wrong, the same as abortion, and it has been made illegal in 49 states, and it still happens in those 49 states.  And gun control -- he is not FOR gun control, he just used current laws set by LIBERALS, to help clean up New York.  I think he is the one -- he is a great leader, and he has the views that will help our country, he is for cutting taxes, for the war in Iraq, and against immigration.  I think he has the conservative points of views that will help this country.

Mitt Romney is a great candidate -- he is conservative on every point of view, or so he says -- but I think he is true to his word, he is conservative on every issue -- the debates prove this.  He is a very conservative person, his stance on fighting Al-Qaida, abortion, gay marriages, gun-control -- this is a really big issue, especially after the Virginia Tech incident -- and immigration and so on and so forth. Point being is that he is conservative on every one of the current issues of our time.  I think we need a president like that -- but the only thing that concerns me is his experience, he only has had one term as governor, so he still knows what he's doing, but he is still not as experienced as other candidates. I think that experience is a vital role in being able to run a country.

In conclusion I think that Giuliani is the best candidate so far -- but I am not entirely sure of his opinion on gun-control, if he is for it, we're screwed, no matter his experience.  Romney is a great candidate, but he does not have as much experience in office as Giuliani.  Fred Thompson may be a good candidate... be he doesn't have my vote yet.  So far my favorite is Giuliani, but if he is for gun-control, he's out.

"Insanity"

The definition of insanity: Trying the same thing over and over again expecting a different result.
This immigration bill is outrageous.
For all you liberals out there -- this has been tried once before, and it didn't work, what makes you liberals and Democrats in Congress think that this time will be any different?  Last time we did the EXACT SAME THING as we are doing right now.  And since the passing of that bill in 1985 has immigration gone down? No, in fact, it has only gotten WORSE since that bill.  And for good reason to, if you were about to immigrate to the United States, and they suddenly started to grant amnesty to current immigrants, wouldn't that make you want to travel illegally too? Knowing that the US would grant you amnesty?

And not to mention about the current legal immigrants waiting in line, do you think that it is fair for people that have waited YEARS to become legal immigrants to just have the people that came to the country illegally granted amnesty?  That is not fair.  We have rules in the United States regarding immigrants -- they should be enforced.

The liberals of course avoid the word 'amnesty' but it is really what they are saying, They may have to pay a small fine for being illegal, but say they have to pay 5 thousand dollars to pay for their citizenship,  Now at first it may seem like that that is unfair, but sit down and think about it. Each immigrant will be on welfare, how much will that cost? And odds are each are going to be on social security, so for every five thousand each immigrant puts out, how much is the government going to pay them? A lot more then 5 thousand dollars.

Once again, this has been tried before, and it failed miserably -- what makes the liberals think that this is going to be any different from last time?  In my opinion the solution to this is to fortify our borders, and ENFORCE THE RULES. It is currently against the law to employ an illegal alien, and yet it is still happening.  I think this country would be better off if we simply enforced the current laws.

The best candidate?

Perhaps it is too early to decide who might possibly be the person who is elected for office -- but the primaries are coming up rather soon. 9 months until the Primary elections are due. The GOP debates seem interesting -- however I have not seen any, but I have heard of several 'Liberals In Conservative Clothing' such as McCain. And the current liberals running for office, don't even remind me. There's no point in bringing them up -- many persons are looking for a 'replacement' or someone to fill the shoes of Reagan.  But the truth is that Reagan's shoes are hard to fill, and if they're looking for someone who can do that, it might be unlikely.

So far some good candidates are up, however Liberty's Ron Paul has blown himself.  He seems like a liberal idiot when he comes to the GOP debate saying that the United States is at fault for 9/11.  That really should make people question whether or not he is working for America.  I'm completely ignoring the Liberals in Conservative clothing -- they should be fairly easy to spot.  So far the best candidates in my opinion -- this does not necessarily mean yours -- are Rudy Giuliani and Mitt Romney.  I am not sure that if/when Fred Thompson runs that he will have enough experience in office -- after all he was only a senator, granted he does have political experience but not governing a nation -- he may have good political point of views (but has not made his intentions clear on immigration) but he does not have any experience with governing, I feel that that is an important part of being able to govern a country.

Anyway, back to Romney and Giuliani -- I think that Giuliani is the best of these two due to the fact that Giuliani probably has more governing experience.  He was a governor of New York, and I don't know about you, but I think it would take great leadership skills to govern a city as big as New York.  He was also governor during the 9/11 incident, and he expressed outstanding leadership during that crisis, he also turned a billion dollar debt and made it into a multi-billion dollar surplus. He has the conservative point of view for the most part.  The only things that he is not Conservative on is the abortion and I am not sure on the gun-control issues... But I think his approach to abortion is a little bit more reasonable, it would be difficult to get Congress to vote for a complete elimination of abortion, his approach is to minimize it.

About Mitt Romney -- To tell you guys the truth, I have not done much research about him, from what I've HEARD that he was a very good conservative, I have done enough research to know that he is for the WOT (War On Terrorism).  And is for cutting taxes -- that's always a good thing, liberal idiots think they can tax a nation into prosperity.

This has some relevance to the presidential elections, and some relevance to my extreme dislike of Hillary Clinton.  IMHO She is the stupidest liberal there is -- how the hell is she supposed to get this country out of debt when she is for the cause of granting amnesty to all these illegals... and she plans to put them all on healthcare plans!!!!!! Not to mention welfare and Social Security costs!!!  If she's running to bankrupt America -- she's gonna do a fine job of it! Not to mention all the other liberal candidates.

One last thing, if anyone can link me to a place where I can find Mitt Romney's stand-points on issues please tell me! Thanks in advance.
